Confusing right?
We know that jargon can be confusing so we've put together this quick guide to bring you in the loop!
Jargon Term | What does it mean? |

LMS | Learning Management System An online website that provides learning content to users. EG, the Coach Education Center is an LMS. |
CPD | Continuous Professional Development CPD for football coaches means keeping up with the game. That's through workshops, self learning and staying on top of tech and tactics. It's about learning from the best, gaining feedback and using every tool possible to become a better coach for your team. |
CPD Hours | Continuous Professional Development Hours Each time you complete a unit, view content or spend time learning new skills, you earn CPD hours. Your club/league or association may require you to complete a certain amount of CPD hours per year to show that you are keeping up with the game and improving as a coach. |
Unit | At it's most basic level, a unit is a piece of content with questions attached to it.As a coach, you learn by watching the video and then test yourself by answering the follow up questions. When you answer the questions correctly, the unit is marked as complete. |
Module | A module is simply a collection of units. Once you successfully pass each unit, the module is passed. This awards you the CPD hours and gives a certificate. |
Admin | An admin is simply a user of the system who has additional permissions. These may include;
If you don't need to do any of the above then you are most likely a coach so you don't need to worry about the Admin role. |
